Background

This course provides you with concrete tools for putting agile methods, LegalTech and AI into practice and staying one step ahead in the transformation of the legal industry.

Content

Are you facing increased demands for efficiency and digital skills? As a lawyer, do you want to work smarter instead of harder?

You are not alone. Client demands are increasing, matters are becoming more complex and there is not enough time. Add to that the challenge of learning to use LegalTech and generative AI in your everyday work. Technology is developing rapidly. The pace of change is increasing, which can create stress.

Agile working methods are the key to success. They create a simple structure for an iterative work process where you divide the work into smaller parts and evaluate it on an ongoing basis. The methods focus on flexibly handling the unpredictable, being able to experiment safely and supporting continuous learning. With the help of agile methods, lawyers can test technology in small steps, validate the results, learn from feedback and quickly adapt their work processes. In addition, agile methods help lawyers fulfil their obligation to properly monitor the digital tools they use.

The course provides an overview of which agile methods are suitable for legal work, as well as practical tips on how they can be applied in lawyers´ day-to-day work. After the course, participants will have a concrete action plan for themselves that they can immediately implement in their work.

By completing this course delegates will have:

  • Use agile working methods to work smarter instead of harder as a lawyer;

  • Create and maintain a structure that facilitates workflow and control in matters;
  • Improve work processes, both in matters and within the firm/department (e.g. matter intake or invoicing);
  • Successfully handle complex cases with unpredictable elements such as disputes and negotiations; and
  • Use a methodical framework to experiment with AI and continuously learn more about how it can be used in your day-to-day work.

Target Group

The course is for all lawyers who want to work smarter instead of harder, or who are open to working with the support of LegalTech and AI. What the target group has in common is a curiosity about agile working methods that have proven their value for professional services.
