Caroline Onyango-Dyregaard

Interim General Counsel at WHO Foundation

Caroline Onyango-Dyregaard is a U.S. trained and licensed lawyer in Washington DC. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Ohio State University and a BA (Honours) from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.

Caroline is Interim General Counsel at WHO Foundation. Before that she was an Associate General Counsel at Novo Nordisk, providing strategic advice on the company’s compliance and ethics program to ensure operation with integrity and to protect against legal risks.

She is an experienced in-house lawyer and risk advisor, having held legal, compliance and risk advisory positions at BASF’s Nordic/Baltic affiliate where she was Head of Legal & Compliance. Prior to joining BASF, Caroline was employed at A.P. Møller-Maersk HQ for 7.5 years where she held various legal, compliance and risk advisory roles. Caroline started her legal career as a litigation attorney in Washington DC representing clients in commercial disputes.
